Scouting uses recreational activities to help young people develop leadership and teamwork skills, build confidence and self-esteem, and learn how to take responsibility for themselves. There are 35 million Scouts in 216 countries around the world. Over half a billion people have made the Scout Promise since the Movement was founded in 1907.

Venturing is High Adventure Scouting for high school students. Venturers organize their own activities under the guidance of an adult Adviser, developing leadership and teamwork skills. The Venturer Motto is "Challenge". Some things the Venturers have done:

Venturers have bi-weekly evening meetings plus occasional weekend events. The Venturer Company is supervised by parents and other volunteers from the community. All volunteers complete a screening process.
