Ages 8–10

Fully-outdoor program, year-round. Being in nature is healthy. As a member of the Timber Wolf Pack, your child will participate in outdoor activities, camping, crafts, games, skills, campfires, and other activities which will build their confidence and give them opportunities for adventure. The program is built on learning by doing and trying new things, with an emphasis on active outdoor activities. The program is based on The Wolf Cub’s Handbook by Baden-Powell.

Sample activities include nature walks, campfire, hot dot roast, water safety, canoeing, bike skills and riding, how to pitch a tent, making kites, making plaster casts of animal prints, feeding birds, making snow forts, and sledding.

The program is run in small groups called a Six. Each Six has about 5–8 members.

Meetings are once every two weeks on Sunday afternoons from 2:00 to 3:30 PM. There are occasional longer activities and at least two weekend camps a year. The meetings are entirely outdoors. We meet in different parks and conservation areas around Waterloo Region with easy access the expressway. Your child can attend a couple of times to try it out for no charge.

The adult leaders in Scouting are parents and other community volunteers. Join our team and be part of Scouting as you develop your own skills in the great outdoors. Police record check and screening required.

The annual registration fee is $160. The uniform is $40. Weekend camps are usually $50. New members may join year-round.
